I was a police officer for twelve years, serving communities and gaining first hand experience of the challenges they face. I then went to work for the Ministry of Defence, helping ex service personnel find work. Immediately before being elected, I was a manager at a global drinks manufacturer which employs many North East Fife residents.
It's a great honour to be elected MP for North East Fife. I will work tirelessly to represent all of North East Fife, not just those who supported me. In Westminster I will oppose Scottish Independence and am determined to stop another independence referendum. I will all support investment in local school, college and university education, and will fight for better health services including mental health and GP out of hours services. In doing so I will work closely with North East Fife's hardworking Lib Dem team, including Willie Rennie MSP and our six councillors.
